Nationwide Grave Site Locator – US Department of Veterans Affairs great site!  Contains many other valuable resources for Veterans healthcare benefits, requesting military records, veterans burial benefits, spouse’s benefits, etc, etc.  Much, much more.

A free online service, guides vets or their survivors applying for the VA Improved Pension program.

Helps to determine whether you or a loved one is eligible for one of the VA Improved Pensions

Financially limited veterans who are 65 and older or physically disabled and had at least 90 days of service during World War II or the Vietnam, Korean, or Gulf wars, can apply for the pension program. 

The Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) to Hire Heroes Act of 2011, provides seamless transition for Service members, expands education and training opportunities for Veterans, and provides tax credits for employers who hire Veterans with service-connected disabilities. http://benefits.va.gov/VOW/index.htm

The Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) offers up to 12 months of retraining assistance to Veterans who meet all the following criteria:

· Unemployed

· At least 35 but no more than 60 years old

· Have an other than dishonorable discharge

· Not eligible for any other VA education benefit programs (e.g., the Post-9/11 GI Bill, 
     Montgomery GI Bill, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment)

· Not in receipt of VA compensation due to Individual Unemployability (IU)

· Not enrolled in a federal or state job training program
