History of Berrien & Van Buren Co’s, Michigan with Illustrations  and Biographical Sketches of Its Prominent Men and Pioneers Published in 1880 by D.W. Ensign & Co. This historic book contains chapters about the Pottawattamie tribe in this area:

The Pottawattamies of the St. Joseph After 1815, Chapter IV – 6 pgs
Cessions of Indian Territory-Erection of Counties and Towns upon it, Chapter V – 5 pgs

There are also portions of Pottawattamie presence in each of the individual townships and villages at that time.  Those files are under the transcripts section.
